The Edge VT Ultra-X is built on the Edge VT base, but is designed with the finest material selection for top performance:

• Full Aluula airframe (leading edge and struts (82g)

• Teijin double ripstop lighter weight canopy (46g)

• Even less drag than the VT, thanks to the added stiffness of Aluula, which has allowed further reduction of the leading edge diameter by an extra 5%

Aluula Performance Airframe 

Aluula can provide a tensile strength increase of as much as 38% compared to standard material construction, while tear strength is up to seven times greater.  

Careful integration of Aluula can also deliver up to a 30% weight saving overall.

Teijin TechnoForce Double Ripstop Lightweight canopy

Teijin is the world’s leading supplier of technical performance materials for marine sports, setting the benchmark in quality with proven superiority in dynamic strength and durability.
Built with a double rip-stop material that is 17% lighter than conventional canopy, with an advanced coating to maintain strength, rigidity and durability. The reduction in weight translates to true performance advantages.

Transverse Sail Shaping

The Leading Edge features Transverse Sail Shaping creating a cleaner and tighter surface on the most important area of the aerofoil. The result is less turbulent airflow and longer skin adhesion, which positively effects the lift to drag ratio increasing overall performance.

4-line Pulley-less System

NO pulleys, NO problems. We design all our inflatable kites without pulleys, to inherit the unique Ozone feeling and performance across our range.
